STI Muñoz Conducts Fire and Earthquake Drills
“Preparation through education is less costly than learning through tragedy” as said by Max Mayfield, the Director of National Hurricane Center in the United States, keeping this in mind, the Health and Safety Committee of STI Muñoz initiated to conduct a Fire and Earthquake Preparedness Activities for the students and employees.
Seminar on Fire Prevention and Earthquake Preparedness attended by students and employees was given by the Quezon City Fire Marshals led by Sr. Insp. Cesar Patrocinio Jr. He was also assisted by FO1 C. Nepomuceno, FO1 J. Corpuz and FO1 C. Agbayani. The actual fire drill was followed after the last seminar session. Part of the drill was the systematic building evacuation of students and employees.
Prior to these activities, selected employees of STI Muñoz attended a Basic Life Support Training that taught them to provide first-aid to those that in need especially during emergencies.
Since nothing beats preparedness, these activities willbe a regular activity in the STI Muñoz Academic Calendar.
