STIers: A Talented Bunch
“STIers are a talented bunch,” this thought is instilled in the hearts of every STIer or STI staff. And indeed, anyone can attest to this. STI College – Muñoz EDSA.
The recently held Talent Search 2014 last August 22, gave STIers from Muñoz EDSA a chance to showcase their talents and beauty with the four competitions held in one day. The competitions namely, Battle of the Bands, STI Idol, Hataw Sayaw and Mr. and Ms. STI were judged by respectable people who also possess the “talented” title.
Four of the judges were alumni of STI Muñoz EDSA. They are Mr. Glenn Enriquez, a member of the Hataw Sayaw National Finalist; Mr. Miguel Hernandez, Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Semi-Finalist; Ms. Meriam Peña, STI Idol 2008 Local Champion; Ms. Ann Santander, STI Idol 2012 National 2nd Runner-up; and Ms. Joressa Babanto, Ms. STI 2012 National 2nd Runner-up. The event was sponsored by Mr. Robert Zamora, the Fashion Couturier of Mutya ng Pilipinas; Glutaphos, a brain vitamin that boosts memory and enhances concentration, productivity, alertness and energy; and Gym-All-You-Can, the official fitness gym of the Mr. and Ms. STI Finalists.

The event was a magnified success and ended at around 6:00 pm! Let us also extend our gratitude to the MIS Department who lent their units for the tabulation of results. The program wouldn’t be a complete success without your cooperation.
The fun did not just stop there as the acquaintance party followed to let the students shine amidst the dark of the evening. The Freshmen, together with their coaches, danced, sang, and partied until 8:30 p.m. The Vivande E Mensa and Rocks and Spirits Club, with the help of the HTM Department were responsible for the palatable dishes they catered for 500 attendees of the acquaintance party.
The highlight of the said event is that STIers were able to have fun by confidently showing their talents for everyone to treasure. See you all again next year, STIers! But for now, let’s all show our support to all the winners who will be competing in the Cluster Level at SM North EDSA on September 09 against eight other STI branches. Congratulations to all of you and most of all, congratulations to the coordinators of this event, especially the GSSO!
