STI College Muñoz-EDSA receives Philippines National Red Cross’s Scroll of Honor
In its third consecutive year, STI College Muñoz-EDSA was awarded by the Philippine National Red Cross as one of its institutional awardees last July 20, 2017 at the Red Cross Head Office in Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City. This year has been the best year for this partnership so far as STI College Muñoz-EDSA bagged the Scroll of Honor, the highest award the institution has ever received. To represent the school, our NSTP Coordinator Mr. Argel Barrientos graced the prestigious event.
The event was presided by the Keynote Speaker from Department of Health, Undersecretary Dr. Paulyn Jean B. Rossell-Ubial, MPH, CESO II who discussed about the current accomplishments of their organization in partnership with Red Cross. It was then followed by the Chairman, Sen. Dick Gordon who provided insights and updates, and presented the awards.
Previously, STI College Muñoz-EDSA’s was invited to the 2017 Blood Service Partner Engagement Ceremony organized by the Philippine National Red Cross last July 12, 2017 at Novo Hotel Cubao, Quezon City. To represent the school, our Office of the Students Affairs Head Mr. Wilson Morano and our NSTP Coordinator Mr. Argel Barrientos graced the event.
The main speaker of the event was the Assistant Secretary General of the Philippine Red Cross, Ms. Elizabeth Zavalla, who provided recent updates about Red Cross. Furthermore, CNN Channel and Honorable Sen. Dick Gordon provided insights and promotional campaign for the betterment of the organization. The gathering ended with the campaign signing of different partnerships with different organizations all throughout Quezon City.
STI College Muñoz-EDSA has been consistent with its partnership with the Philippine Red Cross in its bi-annual Blood-Letting Activity. This wouldn’t have been possible without the hundreds of students with the hearts to participate in this event every semester for three years already, the efforts of Mr. Wilson Morano, STI College Muñoz-EDSA’s Head of the Office of the Students Affairs in partnering with different organizations, as well as the support of our administration.
