Last September 17, 2014, our IT Department dared to join an Inter-Collegiate Competition participated by 15 colleges, institutions and universities held at the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) Manila.

The event started at 9:00 a.m. and ended at 12:00 n.n. The two competitions joined by our IT students were the IT Quiz Show and Programming. The students were accompanied by their IT Quiz Show Coach, Mr. Jay Rico, their Programming Coach Mr. Julius Yves Battung, and the over-all person-in-charge, Ms. Rachel Diano.

The contestants for the IT Quiz show were: Allan Jay Dumanhug, Danimae Reataza and Christian Jake Aniz, all from BSIT. Various questions asked were about Computer Fundamentals, Object-oriented Java, Networking and Operating System.

On the other hand, the contestants for Programming were Eugene Jocson, Sherwin Interno,  Arvy Belen, Jonel Melandres and Ran Andrew Abad.

Let us congratulate all our technical, logical, analytical and intelligent students who bring pride to our school. This will not end here since we have a lot of competitions in store for you. With these inter-collegiate competitions, we learn, explore, and get to know more future professionals. So if you haven’t joined a competition yet, what are you waiting for?
