Mr. NSTP
Our “Mr. NSTP” is also sometimes called in the faculty room as “Attorney” because aside from his demanding tasks and schedule as the NSTP Coordinator and Student Affairs Head, he is also currently taking 16 units of Law at the University of the East this semester so he could expedite the fulfillment of his dream to become a knowledgeable and learned professional not just in the academe, but also in the field of law.
He may be called “Attorney” by his colleagues and friends, but in front of the students, he is still “Mr. NSTP”. It is not because he attained a title in a beauty-and-brains pageant (though he could surely easily do so if he wanted to because of his looks and wit), but because he is known to be the master mind, together with other NSTP Coaches, of the many successful projects that paved ways for students to embrace and be part of the Philippine society.
Just recently, another project was put into completion as part of our NSTP Department’s commitment to an established community partnership with Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Quezon City. The students of TRM101A, as well as the NSTP Coordinator, attended the earthquake drill held by the said barangay last July 23, 2015 in preparation for “The Big One” or the big earthquake that may hit Metro Manila any time based on studies. The activity was another productive move to educate the students and make them aware about the things they need to do in order to survive the devastating times of natural calamities, particularly, earthquakes.
The next day, our Mr. NSTP attended the election of officers and members of the NCR Association of NSTP Implementers held at the De La Salle Araneta, to adhere to the marching order of the CHED-NCR Director Leonida S. Calagui, Ph. D. during the Conference with the NSTP Coordinators held last June 11, 2015. This is so that the NSTP Organization representing NCR would be recognized. After the elections, our Mr. NSTP, Mr. Wilson Morano brought good news as he gave pride and honor to our school for being elected as the Quezon City Cluster Director, and one of the members of the Board of Directors. His continuous efforts and participation to the NSTP Association really shone brightly!
Congratulations, Mr. Morano! You truly deserve to be elected for the position! Thank you for continually enriching the minds and patriotic yearnings of not just our students, but also the youth of this society. Indeed, you are one of STI College Munoz-EDSA’s assets!
