In and Out of Campus
Carmi Jane B. Tapoc is a 26-year old mother of two who never stopped dreaming of attaining a Bachelor’s Degree. She graduated from a two-year IT course in STI and started on with her mother duties in 2005
She had a choice whether she would remain a housewife or do other stuff for her self-improvement. She chose the latter. She decided to continue on with her course to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology here at her Alma Mater, STI College Muñoz-EDSA.
Not only that! This mother of 24/7 and student at day is also a student assistant in the Admissions Office. She very actively participates in marketing and empowerment activities of the school, and never complains of whatever task is assigned to her.
What else can be added to her 24/7? Carmi is also of service to others, not just to her Alma Mater and to her family. And she started achieving that dream by serving her barangay people when she became the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) President from 2004-2006 and has accomplished a lot of valuable projects that benefitted their barangay.
When she started studying at STI again, she ignited the fire within her to serve by joining the Rotaract Club of STI Muñoz-EDSA.
Rotaract Club is an organization for the youth ages 18-30 from different educational and professional backgrounds, defined neither by political nor religious views. It is a junior Rotary Club which seeks to work of service to others, especially the ones in need. Rotaract stands for Rotary in Action.
Carmi never considered her busy schedule as a hindrance to achieve her dreams. Aside from working on her thesis, she has always been an active member of the Rotaract Club and is constantly bringing pride to her sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Cubao.
She is the incoming Best Class President for Rotaract Club of STI College Muñoz-EDSA for July 2015-June 2016, and has won an all-expense paid ticket to Indonesia to attend the Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Convention (APRRC) in August 7-11, 2015. Carmi is sure to bring honor not just to her school and club, but also to her family.
We salute your perseverance and passion to serve in and out of campus, Carmi! Congratulations!
