College of Hospitality and Tourism Management starts the year with pride and glory! - STI College Munoz

College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) marks a very good start early this year after having won several awards for both in-house and inter-school competitions last February 2013.

Our students started the month of February by winning awards in Regional Cluster Tagisan ng Talino 2013 held at STI Novaliches on Febraury 1, 2013. BSIT student, Edwin Theo Rodriguez ended 2^nd place in Stand-up and Deliver (mentored by Ms. Maureen Acaylar, G.E. Instructor) while Angelo Mari S. Bantiling, also a BSIT student (coached by Mr. Dave Verzo, I.T. Instructor) won 1^st place in INTO Programming (Junior Division) and Hotel and Tourism students Austin Kervin Chua, Mary Ann Clarin, Brian Viray, and Ma. Claudine Sopalanca with coach, Ms. Mercibel Alarcon, won 1^st runner up in Chef Xpress with their winning recipe using Banana as the main ingredient.

The college also won in GSM BLUENIVERSITY MIXOLOGY 2012 (Luzon Area Finals) held in Angeles, Pampanga last February 15, 2013 when Gerwyn Arnold Talusan made it to the semi-finals competing with representatives of different schools and universities all over Luzon. Prior to the said event, Mr. Talusan also attended GSM BLUENIVERSITY MIXOLOGY 2012 Seminar held at the Amoranto Sports Complex-Multi-Purpose Hall last September 7, 2012 where he joined an on-the-spot flairtending contest.

Also, in February, CHTM celebrated its Annual HTM Week Celebration featuring the wits, skills and talents of students through various competitions last February 21-22, 2013 facilitated by the Rocks and Spirits, Simply Tours and the Hotel and Tourism Management Faculty Members.
