Valentines maybe over but the celebration was not yet over as STI College Muñoz – EDSA celebrated its Annual HRM Week last February 14 – 18, 2012 which focused on honing the core skills and knowledge of the HRM students through various events and skills competitions.

The celebration started with the HRM Department’s participation with the Pre-Valentines Party last February 10, 2012 in which they were in-charge of the food and beverage for the students. It was then followed with the HRM Quiz Bee last February 14, 2012 at the Audio-Visual Room that gave Jester Domanog, Rosemarie Anne Cerillo and Jennifer Ancho the bragging rights for winning the competition. A Flair Bartending Competition at the Covered Court followed the next day which was dominated by Jay Molina who won the 1^st place, and Sales Competition at the Kitchen Laboratory which identified John Brix Hondrada, Patricia  Abegail Lobo, Janica Bautista, Chelou Catamora and Claire Barnachea as the best group in budgeting and selling their products. Third day featured competitions like, Table Napkin Folding, Flower Arrangement, Waiter’s Relay and Tour Guiding.

The cheer and shout of the students for the competitors proved how active the students were during the events but the most anticipated competition was the Mr. and Ms. HRM 2012 held at the Activity Center of Jackman Plaza last February 16, 2012 which featured not only how attractive the students on stage but also how witty they answered the questions.

The pageant was divided into five portions, Casual wear, Chef’s Uniform, Food and Beverage Uniform, Semi-Formal wear and Q&A. The Best in Casual wear was awarded to Charlene Madrideo and Ralph Rollan Mendez; Best in Chef’s Uniform was awarded to Aubrey Keith Ferrer and James Enriquez; Best in Food & Beverage Uniform was awarded to Gleasi Pangilinan and James Philip Enriquez and Best in Semi-Formal wear was awarded to Maricris Liwanag and Justine Allen Honrubia.

And with good looks and witty brain, winners owned the stage with pride and glory as Adeline Escote and James Enriquez snatched 2^nd runners up together with Aubrey Ferrer and Darenn Dela Cruz on 1^st runners up while the crowd favorites, Gleasie Pangilinan and Justine Allen Honrubia, were crowned the new Mr. and Ms. HRM.

The celebration was ended with a Bar and Coffee seminar in partnership with the T.G.I.F. Restaurant held at the Robinson’s Place, Manila.

The event will not be possible with the support of the students and the newly recognized HR organization, Rocks and Spirits, who supported the entire week of events and the instructors for their full support.
