2020 STI Distinguished Alumni National Level Awardees
STI College Muñoz-EDSA takes pride in two of our millennial alumni who’ve made it to the National Level of the STI Distinguished Alumni Awards. Both in their early 20s, they’ve already attained a significant level of success in their own chosen fields and vocations, as they have contributed in the field of technological and medical advancement for the greater good.
Allan Jay Dumanhug, AJ to his colleagues, is one of the youngest people considered to be an expert in the area of cybersecurity. He’s been working hand in hand with the government in securing gov.ph sites and servers not for recognition nor monetary compensation, but for the strengthening of the country’s cybersecurity. Belonging to Secuna Software Technologies Inc., AJ has started white hat hacking when he was a student of STI College Muñoz-EDSA. He would report vulnerabilities of popular sites to help them secure their systems. This earned him a lot of bounty rewards from these wealthy and famous companies. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in 2016, AJ has always been interested in contributing to the IT industry, and will undoubtedly continue being an agent of change for this country’s technological success.
Ralph Rolly Maliwat finished Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in STI College Muñoz-EDSA in 2018. He has been a Red Cross Youth (RYC) volunteer since he was a student, and is still continuing his passion to serve even until now that he is already employed by Globe Telecom as a software developer. He has always been the “kuya” who is well-mannered and able to express himself in the service of others. He is also deemed as a good coach who has good public speaking skills and knows his content too well. Indeed, he has changed the lives of his trainees and mentees as he inspired them to also be generous for the country in the spirit of altruism. As a student, Ralph Rolly, or RR to his friends, was industrious and diligent not just in learning, but also in participating in various extra-curricular activities. His active aura elates positivity and hope for others.
STI College Muñoz-EDSA is proud of these young men who uphold their good values not just at home and school, but also in their careers and centers of influence. We are happy that beyond the four corners of our classroom, and more than academics, their lives impact those of others through their goodwill and dedication to make this world a better place.
More power and congratulations, AJ and RR!
