We Made It!
Our STI’ers made it top five against other competing colleges and universities in the 5th National Food Showdown held at Genting Star Academy in Newport City, Pasay City last August 12, 2011.
Out of 22 competitors from schools like Fatima University, Emilio Aguinaldo College, STI Dasmarinas, MICAH, De Lasalle University, Lyceum of the Philippines and Arellano University, STI College Muñoz – EDSA bagged the 5th place for the recipe of Crispy Suman, Humba and Champorado cooked by Darenn D. Dela Cruz, Rosalie D. Maddara, and Wilmor H. Toribio during the NCR/Calabarzon Chef Wars Modern Filipino Kulinarya: Elimination Rounds – Student Division with the support of Dean of Business and Manangement, Ms. Remedios “Bing” Najera and coaches Ms. Irene Francia and Ms. Ma. Lourdes Taguibao.
Since this was the first time the college joined a national food showdown, the HRM Department are in preparation for the next series of events especially that the students are excelling in big events like this.
