The ratios are 9:5:2, makes any sense?
From the Nine STI Colleges in Cluster 2 (Caloocan, Cubao, Fairview, Meycauyan, Munoz-EDSA, Novaliches, Quezon Avenue, Recto and Taft), Five highly coveted championships (Battle of the Bands, Hataw-Sayaw, STI Idol and Mr. and Miss STI 2012) were at stake, and STI College Munoz EDSA bagged Two major Titles – STI IDOL and Miss STI 2012.
Our very own Ms. Ann Christian Santander, a Hotel and Restaurant Administration Student, won the STI Idol 2012 (Champion) while Ms. Joressa Babanto, a Multimedia Arts student, took home this year’s Miss STI Crown. Both of them will represent not only STI College Munoz EDSA but the entire cluster 2 colleges to the National Finals on August 31, 2012 at the Enchanted Kingdom.
Before these titles, these equally talented young ladies have their interesting and inspiring stories to tell.
Powerful voice plus astounding stage presence is equal to Ms. Ann Christian Santander. She has been dubbed as “first-runner-up queen” for almost two years in the local STI Idol competition and “Ms. Thank you very much contestant” in various Barangay singing contests. Her greatest fan is her brother who always supports her. Take note, Ann’s brother is not just simply a fan but also her personal critique. Ann’s winning talent was back when she used to be a Salon performer to entertain the waiting clients. Now, she is the STI Idol 2012 of cluster 2 (nine STI Colleges) and will always be one of the greatest talents of Muñoz EDSA.
Ms. Joressa “Jessa” Babanto’s story is from “Babe” to “Babes”. During the casual interview Jessa shared her inspirational story about losing weight (from 175lbs to 125lbs). Choosing a healthy lifestyle, self-discipline and a morning run with her dog rewarded her with a body that every lady envied for. In the Q and A portion, she was asked “What is the most important thing in life that money cannot buy?”. With Wit, dignity, charm and grace under pressure, straight forward she answered “For me the most important thing in life that money can’t buy is living a life with Integrity. Having a life with integrity is being complete for no certain amount can equate your principles and beliefs in life”. Aside from the Miss STI 2012 (Cluster 2) Crown, Jessa also bagged almost all of the special awards:
BEST IN FORMAL WEAR
BEST IN CASUAL WEAR
MISS PHOTOGENIC
SPONSOR’S SOPHIE
Their winnings strike us with practical lessons in life. Never give up your dreams. Perseverance and patience – wait for your turn for everything has its own time. While waiting, improve your craft. If it is yours – it will be yours in God’s perfect time. Discipline and determination pay. No pain, no gain.
They shared their parts in the cluster competition and once again they will carry our banner to showcase to the nation that we are ONE TEAM and our team is TEAM Munoz EDSA. Our cheers and presence in the National Finals in the Enchanted Kingdom on August 31 are of big help.
See you in 29th Anniversary of STI at the Enchanted Kingdom on August 31, 2012.
